
Dean Advances to Quarterfinals & Terps Wrap Up Day One of NCAAs

Jacksonville, Fla. – The Maryland Track and Field men competed in the first day of NCAA East Regionals hosted in Jacksonville, Fla. on Wednesday.
Sophomore Caleb Dean finished first in his heat in the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.71s to advance to the quarterfinal on Friday at 7:55 pm. Dean also competed in the 110m hurdles where he finished with a time of 14.25s.
The freshmen throws duo of Jeff Kline and Hayden Tobias competed in their first NCAA Regional. Kline finished 23rd overall with a mark of 17.92m. Tobias finished closely behind with a final mark of 17.63m.

"The goal for this meet was for everyone to put it all on the line and fight for a spot at NCAA finals. We started that momentum with the men today."

The women will compete tomorrow led by Alice Barnsdale, Angel Nkwonta, Jaida Smith and Bria Mack.
