Women's Lacrosse Earns Berth in 31st Straight NCAA Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – For the 31st straight season, the Maryland women's lacrosse team earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament, it was announced Sunday evening.
Maryland will travel to No. 7 Duke for the first and second rounds and face High Point in the first round on Friday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. The other side of the region will see No. 7 Duke and Mount Saint Mary's play. The winners of each of those games will play on Sunday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m in the second round. The Terps are 1-0 all time against High Point, defeating the Panthers 21-6 in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
Following second round action, four quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, May 22, on campus sites. The Final Four will take place in Towson, Md. at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University, with the semifinals on Friday, May 28 and the finals Sunday, May 30.
The Terps stand at 9-6 this season, with an undefeated 6-0 record at home and five wins over IWLCA Top-25 teams. Maryland leads the nation with 36 NCAA appearances and are also tops in wins (75), championship game appearances (22) and NCAA titles (14). The Terps are making their 31st consecutive appearance in the postseason (1990-2021).
