EUGENE, OR. – Caleb Dean competed for the Terps on day one of the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Caleb Dean competed at his first NCAA Championships, in the men's 400m hurdles, earning an 11th place finish with a time of 50.45s. Dean holds the second fastest time in school history in the event (49.77s). It wrapped up an excellent year for the sophomore who competed in his first collegiate outdoor track and field season.
Coach's Comments
"Dean's performances this year show his grit and determination. He will leave Oregon as a second team NCAA All American. This experience has left him hungry for more and he is ready to seal his name in the Maryland record books across several events."

Maryland will return to competition on Friday, June 12th on day two of NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Kaithon McDonald will represent the Terps, competing in the Men's high jump.
