Maryland Men’s Soccer Releases 2021 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland men's soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski announced the program's full 2021 schedule Thursday afternoon. Maryland's Big Ten slate was previously announced.

"I am absolutely thrilled to welcome fans back to Ludwig Field this season," Cirovski said. "With the support of The Crew and the rest of the incredible fans in our community, we have the best stadium environment in our sport. Our team will be prepared to compete against the best and entertain our supporters as they have for years. We cannot wait for August 26 and beyond."

The Terps will welcome fans back to Ludwig Field on Thursday Aug. 26 against 2020 NCAA Tournament participant Charlotte (7:30 p.m.) before taking on in-state foe UMBC at Ludwig Field on Sunday, Aug. 29 (7:30 p.m.). The first Friday Night Lights match at Ludwig takes place on Sept. 3 (7:30 p.m.) when George Mason makes the short trip to College Park.

The Terps then play consecutive matches in Washington, D.C. Maryland and 2019 national runner up Virginia will renew the most storied rivalry in college soccer at Audi Field on Sept. 6 (6 p.m.). The Terps will then travel to Georgetown in a matchup between the 2018 and 2019 national champions on Sept. 11 (1 p.m.).

Maryland opens up Big Ten play against Michigan at Ludwig Field (Sept. 17, 7 p.m.) before facing High Point at home (Sept. 20, 7 p.m.). The Terps head to Columbus to face off with Ohio State on Sept. 24 and then return home for a clash with Rutgers on Sept. 28 (7 p.m.).

The Terps go back on the road to face Wisconsin (Oct. 3) before taking on Northwestern at home on Friday, Oct. 8 (7 p.m.). The Terps travel to Delaware in a midweek matchup on Oct. 12 before coming back home to play Pacific on Friday, Oct. 16 (7 p.m.).

Maryland ends the season with three key Big Ten clashes. The Terps and Michigan State face off in East Lansing on Oct. 22. Maryland then heads to Penn State on Tuesday, Oct. 26 before finishing the season against 2020 national runner up Indiana at Ludwig Field on Oct. 31.

The Terps will also contest two exhibition matches at Ludwig Field: vs. Temple (Aug. 14, Noon) and vs. Pittsburgh (Aug. 21, 7:30 p.m.).
