Maryland Dominates Quinnipiac, 3-0

CATONSVILLE, MD – The Maryland volleyball team (8-0) swept the Quinnipiac Bobcats 3-0 on Friday night to extend the team's winning streak to eight matches and 11 straight sets.

The first set was all Terps as Laila Ricks led a blistering attack with six kills and a .714 hitting percentage as Maryland took the first set, 25-14. The second set was much of the same as the Terps won 25-18 thanks to the trio of Ricks, Rainelle Jones and Sam Csire as they were too much to overcome. The third and final set saw the Terps storm out to a great start and ultimately close things out 25-12.

As a team the Terps held Quinnipiac to a .018 hitting percentage on the night while forcing 23 attack errors. Freshman middle blocker Ellie Watson saw extensive time in the third set and recorded her first career aces and digs.
