Terps in the NFL: Week One

A tradition unlike any other is back. The tradition? Sitting on your couch all Sunday and watching NFL football. Watching both your favorite team and all of the Terps in the NFL with some good snacks and a good drink makes for a fantastic way to wrap up a weekend.

Now even though some of the biggest Terp contributions were on Monday night, there was still a handful of Maryland pros that made an impact on Sunday. Let's take a look back at Week One in the NFL:

Quinton Jefferson & Yannick Ngakoue

The Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens played what was no doubt the wildest game of Week One to wrap up the slate on Monday night, with Jefferson and Yannick Ngakoue's Raiders coming back and beating the hometown Ravens.

How did the Raiders get back in the game? Defense. Defense. Defense. Q was a leading force in the comeback, forcing a Lamar Jackson fumble. The Raiders would tie the game on the following possession. Q totaled five tackles in the game.

Yannick also played a huge role in getting pressure on the Ravens offense. Ngakoue tallied four total tackles, two solo tackles, a pass deflection and a quarterback hit on Jackson.

And a 90.6 Pass Rush Grade from Pro Football Focus. Yannick and teammate Maxx Crosby were a tremendous combo and will be a thorn in opponents sides all year.

DJ Moore

Panthers WR DJ Moore hauled in six catches for 80 yards to help leads Carolina to a win over the New York Jets.

Moore had one of if not the most impressive catch of the day. Watch it from many, many angles: The most improbable catch of the week... DJ was ALL smiles.

Jermaine Carter Jr.

Staying in Carolina, Jermaine Carter Jr. had his first game as the leader of the defense... And it went well. Carter Jr. recorded five total tackles, one solo tackle and one quarterback hit on rookie Zach Wilson.

Stefon Diggs

The opener didn't go exactly as planned for Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Diggs still caught nine balls for 69 yards.

Stef was all of us on Sunday.
