
Terps Close Out Regular Season at the Penn State National Open

University Park, PA — The Terps traveled to University Park to compete in the women's 6K race at the Penn State National Open on Friday (10/14).
The Terps had several top performances highlighted by top finishes from Anna Coffin and Katie Altieri who led the way for the squad on the day.
Meet Notes:

Anna Coffin was the Terps top scorer on the day, racing to a great 21:47.1 finish. Following closely behind was the Terps second scorer on the day, Katie Altieri, who continued to impress with a final time of 21:47.2.

Katie Turk was the third Maryland scorer, crossing the line in 22:18.5.

Sophia Zell (22:44.6) and Emma Pegg (23:02.0) rounded out the scoring for the Terp squad.

Amanda Eliker (23:03.4) and Rubie Goffena (23:13.7) both had solid performances.

Katerina Talanova, Kirstin Nichols and Claudia Dolan also competed in the 6K race.
Coaches Comments:
"This race will propel us into post season competition. The goal now is to put our best foot forward for the championship segment of our season. I know this group is ready to show up."
Next Up:
The Terps will now shift gears as they head into postseason action and will travel to the Big Ten Cross Country Championship meet on Friday (10/28). The meet will be hosted by the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.
