COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland field hockey team (17-3) earned its 34th overall NCAA Tournament bid Sunday night. The Terrapins will take on Liberty (12-7) Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the NCAA First Round at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex in College Park in a rematch of the 2021 NCAA Championship Semifinal.
Princeton (13-4) will take on Syracuse (15-5) Friday at 2:30 p.m., with the winning teams advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

The Terrapins own a record of 66-25 (.725) in the NCAA Tournament and a record of 62-24 (.720) under head coach

Maryland dropped a competitive, one-goal match to Northwestern, 2-1, Friday in the Big Ten Semifinals. The Terrapins made a srong comeback attempt but couldn't find the equalizer late in the fourth. Graduate Student

Five Big Ten teams earned NCAA Tournament bids, including Michigan, Northwestern, Penn State, Iowa and Maryland, tied with the ACC for the most of any conference in the country.
