Williamsburg, VA -- The Maryland women's tennis team (7-1) defeated the William & Mary Tribe (3-2) for the first time since 2021 in a 5-2 showdown Friday afternoon in Williamsburg, VA.

Katie Dougherty said "I'm really happy with how we competed today top to bottom in singles and doubles. We got off to a great start with doubles and kept that intensity throughout the match. William and Mary is a tough team and very happy to pick up our first road win against a good team".

- Freshman Kallista Liu won her match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
- Minorka Miranda won her match in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.
- Francesca Feodorov won her match in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
- Doubles pair Miranda and Feodorov clinched the doubls pair for the Terps with a 6-2 win.
The Terps return to College Park to face Brown at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
