ATLANTA – Sophomore
Angel Reese of the fourth-seeded Maryland women's basketball team (23-8) was named a WBCA Regional Finalist for the Division I All-America Team Thursday. She is one of 52 players around the country named a finalist.

Reese earned All-America Honorable Mention honors from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association last week and was named an Associated Press Third Team All-American Wednesday.

Reese earned All-Big Ten First Team honors this year and was named to the All-Defensive Team. She leads the Terrapins with 17.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, as well as in blocks (33) and is second on the team in steals (50). She leads the Big Ten in total rebounds (331) and is second in the country in offensive rebounds (5.4). Reese also leads the league in double-doubles with 17 this season.

Earlier this month, Reese was named to the Wooden Ballot and was named a Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year finalist.

Reese and the Terrapins will face top-seeded Stanford (30-3) Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET in the NCAA Regional Semifinals in Spokane, Wash. Friday's game will be televised on ESPN. Â
