
No. 24 Terps Club Four Homers In 8-6 Win Over VCU

The Terps (10-2) tallied 10 hits with Troy Schreffler Jr. going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Zmarzlak had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Alleyne with the Terps' other multi-hit batter with those two homers.
The Terps rallied from a 6-5 deficit in the sixth inning as a two-run double by Shliger doubled down the leftfield line to bring home Schreffler and Zmarzlak.
VCU is now 3-8.
Bullpen Doing Work
- The Terps bullpen was strong with four pitchers finishing the game with four scoreless innings.
- Matt Orlando earned the win in relief as he didn't allow a run in the sixth inning.
- Sean Heine struck out three in two innings of work.
- Then Nick Lorusso and Will Glock finished the game out with Glock getting the save with a strikeout and groundout to close the game.
