Bibby Signs Training Camp Contract with Lynx

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Graduate Chloe Bibby of the Maryland women's basketball team signed a training camp contract with the Minnesota Lynx Tuesday.
Bibby played two seasons at Maryland, where she averaged 12.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and shot 44 percent from the field. Bibby was an 85 percent free throw shooter for the Terps. Earlier this season, she reached the 1,000 career points mark and finished her career with 1,373 career points and 674 rebounds between her two years at Maryland and three at Mississippi State.
Bibby earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors in 2022 and Honorable Mention honors in 2021. She was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll twice in her Maryland career and was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward Player of the Year Watch List at the start of the season.
Bibby earned her degree in marketing in the spring of 2021 and is currently working on her master's in business and management.
Bibby helped the Terps to back-to-back Sweet Sixteens, 49 wins and the 2021 Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.
Currently, seven former Terrapins are on WNBA rosters, including Kristi Toliver of the Los Angeles Sparks, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones, Stephanie Jones, Kaila Charles of the Connecticut Sun and Tianna Hawkins and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough with the Washington Mystics.
Eighteen Terrapins have been drafted into the WNBA, including 14 under head coach Brenda Frese. Nine of Frese's Terps were drafted in the top 10. Terrapins in the WNBA have gone on to win five WNBA titles and earn 10 WNBA All Star Selections.
