Maryland Breaks Program Record on Final Day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Maryland Track and Field teams competed on the final day of the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
On day three, the Terrapins continued to post strong results. The Maryland men's 4x800 squad highlighted the day's action, as they raced to a new program record finish in the relay.

Women's Notes:

Chelsey Cole earned a sixth place result in the Championship of America Triple Jump, , jumping to a mark of 12.58m.

Mackenzie Morgan, Emma Pegg, Anna Coffin and Christine Laurie raced to a 9:03.65 finish in the 4x800 relay.
Men's Notes:

The Terps 4x800 squad of Maxwell Myers, Eric Albright, Chase McGeehan and Solomon Lawrence sprinted to a 7:32.41 finish - the result set a new program record for the men's 4x800 relay.

Jeff Kline threw to a mark of 17.24m competing in the Championship section of the men's shot put.

The Terps will be back in action this Friday (5/6) at the Kehoe Twilight meet in College Park - the final regular season meet before Big Ten Championships.
