Mackova Ends 2021-22 Season Campaign in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Sophomore Patricie Mackova of the Maryland Women's Golf Team finished in an eight-way tie for 25th – 70-75-77 (+6) at the NCAA Regionals - Albuquerque Region. The tournament was the ticket to the 2022 Division I Women's NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.

Over the three-day event, student-athletes played at one of the six regional sites across the country. Mackova teed it up on the par-72 - 6,336 yard - UNM (University of New Mexico) Championship Course as the number one ranked individual.

Mackova finished fifth out of the individuals in the field. Marina Escobar Domingo of Florida and Viera Permata Rosada of Sam Houston qualified for the NCAA National Championship in Scottsdale, AZ, on May 20th-25th.

"Patricie finished off one of the best seasons in program history today," said head coach Kelly Hovland. "It wasn't the finish we were hoping for, but it doesn't diminish what she has accomplished throughout the year! I am so proud of Patricie, and this is just the beginning for her."

Mackova and the entire Maryland Terrapins squad will return to the fairways in mid-September to begin their 2022-23 season.
