Kanpai Leads Terps at Canadian Collegiate

AURORA, ONTARIO -- Senior Nicha Kanpai led the Maryland women's golf team at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at the Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario.
Kanpai tied for 11th overall with a score of 224 (79-71-74), which was +8. She made eight birdies in the event.
Junior Chananyu Chowiwattana tied for 22nd with a score of 228 (71-78-78), which was +12.
Freshman Carolina Perez-Tasso tied for 33rd in her first collegiate event with a score of 232 (81-76-75). Junior Anna Pillard tied for 35th with a score of 233 (79-77-77). Freshman Noa Zocco tied for 40th with a score of 235 (78-79-78).
As a team, the Terps finished 6th of 11 teams competing with a scored of 914 (308-302-304), which was +50.
Next, the Terrapins will play Navy on Sept. 26.
