Coordinator of Player Personnel, Football

The Coordinator of Player Personnel assists in carrying out the athletic department and football program's mission statement to recruit and retain the best and brightest student-athletes to the University of Maryland. This position is part of a recruiting team that determines the football program's on-field success and the student-athlete's success as an individual and is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Establish a data bank of prospects utilizing varied recruiting services; evaluate and rank prospects accordingly; based on recruiting rubric; analyze and gather information on all high school prospects with the permissible resources available; generate video profiles for all top prospects; generate Offensive and Defensive Hudl/Recruit.co CutUps; generate all Junior College Hudl/Recruit.co CutUps; maintain all recruiting databases in (underclassman, tracking football); maintain and update current and future roster big board; conduct recruiting research and prepare statistical reports; analyze national trends in recruiting; assist with management of the Transfer Portal; compile daily list of names that entered the Transfer Portal; conduct recruiting research and prepare statistical reports; assist with management of graduate assistant and student assistants; create weekly informational reports relative to the recruitment process for prospective student-athletes; stay abreast of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations pertaining to initial eligibility and recruitment; assist with all Official/Unofficial visits, Junior Days, Camps and all Game Day recruiting; assist organize and participate in all recruiting functions; collaborate with the planning and execution of the twelve (12) month vision of the recruiting calendar (mail, video, graphics, social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.); and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience and 18-36 months of athletic student services or related field is required. Additionally, experience working in college football and recruiting, possess outstanding communication and organizational skills, ability to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff, is detail oriented for accuracy of data and information, possess a strong initiative to solve problems, and have the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours is required.
Preferences: Two (2) to Five (5) years of collegiate scouting/recruiting experience is preferred. Big Ten Conference experience preferred.
