COLLEGE PARK, MD – The IWLCA announced on Wednesday that the Maryland women's lacrosse team is one of 97 Division I programs to earn IWLCA Academic Honor Squad recognition. In addition, 10 members of the Maryland women's lacrosse team were selected to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. As a team, Maryland earned a cumulative GPA of 3.575 and worked towards a 3.528 team GPA in the spring.

Victoria Hensh,
Brianna Lamoureux,
Hannah Leubecker,
Libby May and
Emily Sterling were all named to the Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. This is the second straight year on the honor roll for Barretta and Griffin.
All 10 Terps that nabbed Honor Roll accolades were also selected to the Academic All-Big Ten team last month. Additionally, Ahearn, Griffin, Hensh, May and Sterling were all named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, which is given to student-athletes across the conference who have recorded a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year.
Ahearn, Bosco, Griffin, May and Sterling all maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2018-19 school year, two of only four Maryland student-athletes to do so.
