
Maryland to Take On Big Ten Foe Wisconsin in 2022-23 Season Opener

MADISON, WI - The Maryland men's golf team is officially back on the fairways to tee off the 2022-23 season at the Badger Invitational this weekend in Wisconsin.
Over the three-day tournament (Sept. 11-13), the Terrapins will play the par-72 - 7,286-yard Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed University Ridge Golf Course. The tournament will consist of 54-holes of play (18 holes each day, Monday-Wednesday). The Terrapins will tee of beginning at 10:00am.
The Maryland squad will be led by freshman Ronnie Kim of Olney, Md., making his collegiate debut, followed by sophomore Florian Huerlimann, senior Dillon Brown, senior Will Koras, and senior Will Celiberti.
"We are excited to get the season going at Wisconsin, said head coach John Phillips. "It will be great to test ourselves against some strong competition on a championship golf course. The players have been working hard, and we're ready to put our preparation to the test."
Participants in the invitational from the Big Ten include host Wisconsin, Purdue, and Nebraska; non-conference opponents include UAB, Augusta, South Dakota State, Old Miss, Texas A&M, Marquette, Campbell, Northern Illinois, South Carolina, South Florida, Cincinnati, Illinois State, Western Carolina, West Kentucky.
