Biography

Spring 2023: Opened up the spring season at the 15th annual Big Ten Match Play Championship with a 0-3-0 record at Hammock Beach Resort… At the Puerto Rico Classic posted a score of 219 (71-75-73), which was three over par… At the Seahawk Intercollegiate posted a score of 227 (77-72-78), which was 11 over par … At the Mountaineer Invitational, posted a score of 238 (82-78-78)… In a weather-shortened Big Ten Championship finished in a six-way tie for 31st and posted a score of 150 (80-70), which was eight over par in his final event as a Terp.

Fall 2022: Opened the season at the Badger Invitational with a score of 154 (77-77), which was 10 over par… At the Howard/ University of San Francisco (USF) Intercollegiate at TPC Potomac, played the event as an individual, and finished in a two-way tie for 16th and posted a score of 225 (73-74-78)… At the Purdue Fall Invitational and finished in a two-way tie for 12th after posting a score of 219 (75-70-74), at three over par… At the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, posted a score of 219 (72-75-72), which was three over par for the tournament. 

Spring 2022: Opened up the season at the Big Ten Match Play Championship with a 0-1-0 record… At the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley, posted a score of 240 (85-76-79) as an individual in the event.

Fall 2021: Competed at the Mountaineer Invitational as an individual and earned a score of 233 (82-76-75).

Spring 2021: Did not compete during the spring 2021 season.

Fall 2020: No competition took place to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spring 2020: Opened the season at the Big Ten Match Play Championship with a 0-3-0 record.

Fall 2019: Competed in all four events for the Terrapins… averaged a 73.83 this fall and earned one top 25 finish… tied for 25th at the VCU Invitational with his score of 214 (72, 74, 68), which was two under par… tied for 41st in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate with his score of 221 (70, 73, 78), which was +5… shot a 229 (83, 74, 72), which was +13, at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational… finished the Intercollegiate at Innisbrook tied for 44th with his score of 222 (73, 73, 76), which was +9.

Before Maryland: In 2019, Won the 102nd Metropolitan Golf Association Met Junior Championship.  The first in forty years to win after finishing runner-up the prior year.   
·         2019 New Jersey High School Golfer of the Year
·         Placed T39 at the 2019 Junior PGA Championship (69-71-73-64).   
·         Won 2018 High School Arcola Invitational
·         Finished 7th at the AJGA Philadelphia championships with his score of 220 (72-79-69)
·         In 2018 and 2019,  led northern New Jersey high school golfers in scoring average…
·         Won the 2017 Junior New Jersey PGA Championship after going six strokes under and shooting a 66 in the first round…
·         Finished 4th in the 2017 AJGA at Saucon Valley with his score of 214 (72-71-71), which was two under
·         Won the 2017 Bustard Invitational…
·         Birded eight of the last 10 holes to win the 2016 NJSGA Boys State Championship
·         Played four years of varsity golf…named to the New Jersey All-State First Team his senior year. Second Team in his Junior Year
·         Won the state title his freshman year…
·         Earned First Team All-League and All County honors in his sophomore, junior, senior seasons…

Personal: Parents are Brian and Jennifer Celiberti…has two sisters, Charlotte and Olivia…intends to study communications…always putts three 5-footers before a round…would change the rules to enforce faster play…came to Maryland for the coaches, to compete against in the country and to get a top tier education.
