NEWTON, MA -- No. 4 Maryland bested No. 14 Boston College 3-1 on Friday evening in its first of two B1G/ACC Cup Games, avenging a 3-2 loss to the Eagles last season.
The Terps got goals from Hope Rose, Leah Crouse and Bibi Donraadt, and Margot Lawn recorded a pair of assists.
With the win, the Terps moved to 3-0 on the season.

- Each team recorded a goal apiece in the first 3:12 of the game. Rose scored Maryland's goal off the assist from Lawn on the breakaway.
- Towards the end of the first quarter, the Terps got a couple of shots off when the Eagles were down a player because of a yellow card, but Boston College blocked both shots.
- Maryland regained the lead in the 21st minute as Leah Crouse scored her first goal as a Terp. Lawn got her second assist of the day on the play, centering the pass for Crouse to tip in.
