Women’s Hoops Releases Television Information

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland women's basketball team will play 13 games on national television, including 10 of its Big Ten matchups and non-conference matchups with South Carolina and Connecticut.
The Terrapins will play four games on the ESPN family of networks, including their Nov. 11 matchup with the Gamecocks (ESPN2), the Dec. 11 contest vs. Connecticut (ABC), the Feb. 2 game at Iowa (ESPN) and a Feb. 5 matchup vs. Ohio State (ESPN2). Maryland's game vs. Connecticut will be the first-ever Big Ten regular season women's basketball game televised on ABC. The Terps' Nov. 25 game vs. DePaul in the Fort Myers Tip-Off will be televised on FS2.
Eight of Maryland's matchups will be televised around the world on the Big Ten Network. The Terps' regular season finale matchup at Ohio State has been moved to Feb. 24 from the original date of Feb. 25. The remaining home games and all conference games will be streamed on B1G+.
Television information for Maryland's Nov. 20 matchup at Baylor and Dec. 1 matchup at Notre Dame in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be announced at a later date.
The opening rounds of the Big Ten Tournament (March 1-4) will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Television network for the Big Ten Tournament Championship game (March 5) will be determined at a later date.
Additionally, the 30th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2022 through Sunday, March 5, 2022 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Maryland returns All-Big Ten honoree and 2021 Big Ten Tournament MVP, Diamond Miller, as well as Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year Shyanne Sellers.
Two-time National Coach of the Year Brenda Frese will bring in nine new players next season, including AP Honorable Mention All-American honoree Abby Meyers (Princeton), All-SEC transfer Lavender Briggs (Florida), All-AAC transfer Elisa Pinzan (USF), SEC graduate transfer Brinae Alexander (Vanderbilt) and All-CAA transfer Allie Kubek (Towson). Last spring, Frese also signed two top-55 incoming freshmen in Gia Cooke and Brianna McDaniel. Incoming freshman Ava Sciolla and Mila Reynolds signed with Maryland in November, giving the Terrapins a top 10 recruiting class for the 15th time under Frese.
