
Women’s Basketball’s Big Ten Slate Released

ROSEMONT, ILL – The Big Ten Conference announced the Maryland women's basketball team's 2022-23 conference schedule Wednesday, featuring home games against 2022 NCAA Tournament participants Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and Nebraska.
Additionally, the 30th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2022 through Sunday, March 5, 2022 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Terrapins will host two of last year's Final Four teams, as they and play one of the toughest schedules in the country. Their out of conference schedule is highlighted by home matchups with defending national champion South Carolina and Connecticut, as well as road trips to Baylor and Notre Dame.
Maryland returns All-Big Ten honoree and 2021 Big Ten Tournament MVP, Diamond Miller, as well as Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year Shyanne Sellers.
Two-time National Coach of the Year Brenda Frese will bring in eight new players next season, including AP Honorable Mention All-American honoree Abby Meyers (Princeton), All-SEC transfer Lavender Briggs (Florida), All-AAC transfer Elisa Pinzan (USF), SEC graduate transfer Brinae Alexander (Vanderbilt) and All-CAA transfer Allie Kubek (Towson). Earlier this spring, Frese also signed two top-55 incoming freshmen in Gia Cooke and Brianna McDaniel. Incoming freshman Ava Sciolla and Mila Reynolds signed with Maryland in November, giving the Terrapins a top 10 recruiting class for the 15th time under Frese.
