No. 14 Maryland Beats ECU in Final Exhibition

Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD -- No. 14 Maryland beat a strong East Carolina squad, 76-66, in the Terrapins' final exhibition game Sunday at the XFINITY Center. Sunday's game was also a charity game to benefit the Special Olympics of Maryland, Prince George's County. Jakia Brown-Turner led four Terps in double figures with 15 points.

Jakia Brown-Turner led the Terrapins with 15 points. 
Shyanne Sellers added 14 points, nine in the fourth quarter, with six rebounds and six assists.
Lavender Briggs added 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Faith Masonius chipped in 11 points with five assists and five boards.
  Playing For Charity
• Sunday's game benefitted the Special Olympics of Maryland, Prince George's County. Admission was free and fans were encouraged to donate here.
  Numbers To Know
18: Four Terps combined for 18 assists, led by Shyanne Sellers with six.
16: The Terrapins held the Pirates to 16% shooting in the fourth quarter (3-19).
4:17: Maryland held ECU without a field goal for the final 4:17 of the game.
