Terps Come Up Short Against Rutgers In 2-1 Loss

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Terps found themselves on the wrong side of a hard-fought match on Tuesday evening at Ludwig Field, falling 2-1 to Rutgers.
Maryland rebounded from an early 2-0 deficit as Max Riley found a goal in the 32nd minute to cut the deficit in half and give the Terps momentum heading into the locker room at halftime. It was Riley's first goal of the season.
The Terps notched a season-high 20 shots and took 13 more shots than Rutgers but were not able to find an equalizer late. Rutgers' keeper, Ciaran Dalton, made 10 saves on the night, stymying several well-created Maryland chances.
