COLLEGE PARK, MD - Each week during the 2023-24 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians and Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Solomon Eye Physicians and Surgeons Terp of the Week is graduate
Selma Cadar of the Maryland women's tennis team. Cadar had a stellar showing in Lynchburg, VA for the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, winning the singles championship and finishing as a finalist in doubles.
As the 8th seed in the singles main draw, Cadar went 6-0 in singles competition on her way to winning the singles championship including an upset victory over the 1st seed in the quarterfinals.

Mary Brumfield saw the team win 5 matches to become ITA Atlantic Regional doubles finalists for the second year in a row before falling in the final to a talented UVA doubles team. Cadar orchestrated impressive tournament run's in both singles and doubles, often having to compete in multiple matches per day.
Cadar's singles championship victory and finishing as a finalist in doubles qualified her to compete in the ITA Fall National Championships in San Diego for both singles and doubles competition starting on Wednesday.
