Selma Cadar and Mary Brumfield are competing in the fall nationals for the second year in a row as a doubles team. Cadar will also be representing Maryland in singles competition.
"Selma and Mary have put themselves in a great position getting to Fall Nationals in doubles for the 2nd year in a row and Selma for the first time," said Head Coach Katie Dougherty. "We're going to take this one match at a time and enjoy competing with the best of the best."
Cadar is coming off a championship victory at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship's in singles. As the 8th seed, she went 6-0 in singles competition on her way to winning the singles championship, including an upset victory over the 1st seed in the quarterfinals.
Brumfield and Cadar made a run in doubles as well, winning 5 matches to become ITA Atlantic Regional finalists in doubles for the second year in a row before falling in the final to a talented UVA doubles team.
