College Park, MD- The University of Maryland women's tennis team will be competing in the Martha Thorn Invitational. It will be held from Oct. 6-8.
 
"We're looking forward to another opportunity to compete this weekend," Head Coach Katie Dougherty said. "The team has done a great job these past two weeks in preparation and we get to put all that into competition this weekend."
 
The Terps lineup for the invitational features three freshmen, including Diya Challa, who will make her debut for Maryland.
 
Freshman Aida Eissa will be making her third appearance for the Terrapins. Eissa most recently competed at the Bedford Cup, going 2-1 in singles and 1-1 in doubles competition.
 
Junior Francesca Feodorov and freshman Ela Platenikova will be making their second appearances, both opened their fall season at the Wahoowa Invitational.
 
At the Wahoowa Invitational, Feodorov went 1-2 in singles and 2-1 in doubles competition. Platenikova went 2-1 in singles and 2-1 in doubles competition.
 
Draws and scoring updates will be posted on the Maryland Tennis X account.
