Tagovailoa completed his first 17 passes of the game, the most consecutive completions of his career, as well as the longest streak for any player in the country to begin a game. He finished with 286 yards on 29-of-39 passing and two touchdowns.
Corey Dyches had a career-high eight receptions for 80 yards. Jeshaun Jones had four catches for 25 yards, including a touchdown. Tai Felton caught four passes for 75 yards.
Defensively, Glendon Miller led the way with eight tackles and a pass breakup.

Taulia Adds To His Records
- Tagovailoa continued to add to his career passing yardage today with 286 passing yards in the game as he now has 10,365 in his career. The quarterback holds the Maryland career records for passing yards, passing touchdowns (72), total touchdowns (82), completions (893), completion percentage (66.6),passing efficiency (145.8) and total offense 10,590.
- He is seventh in career passing yards in the Big Ten. Next on the list is No. 6 Brett Basanez (10,580 from 2002-05) with Northwestern.
- Tagovailoa moved to seventh in career passing touchdowns in Big Ten history with two in the game, giving him 72 in his Maryland career. He passed Michigan State's Connor Cook with 71 and is tied with Minnesota's Adam Weber with 72. Next on the list with 77 is Trace McSorley of Penn State from 2015-18.
- Tagovailoa has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 12 consecutive games.

- Tagovailoa completed his first 17 consecutive passes in the game, breaking his longest streak to start a game since he had 11 in a row to start the Ohio State game last year (11/19/22).
- Tagovailoa's streak of 17 passes to begin the game is the longest to begin a game in the country, equaling South Carolina's Spencer Rattler vs. Mississippi State (9/23/23).
- His streak was the longest by any Big Ten player since Michael Penix, then with Indiana, had 20 completions in a row on Sept. 28, 2019.
- His streak was the longest to start a game since USF's Byrum Brown completed his first 21 pass attempts on Nov. 18, 2022.
- This is the sixth time Tagovailoa has had at least 10 completions in the first quarter. The last Maryland quarterback before Tagovailoa with double-digit completions in the first quarter was Caleb Rowe, who had 10 against Boston College in 2012.
- His 22 completions in the first half are the most by any Maryland QB since at least 2012, also a career-best.
- Tagovailoa's 22 first-half completions are the most by any Maryland quarterback in the last decade. He's the only Big Ten player (and one of 10 in FBS) with 22 first-half completions this season.

- Jones moved into a tie for fifth in career receiving touchdowns with his 14th in the fourth quarter. He is tied with Stefon Diggs (2012-14) and Dontay Demus Jr. (2018-22).
- Jones moved to eighth in career receptions with four catches in the game. He now has 133 in his career as he passed Levern Jacobs (2012-16 with 130). Next on the list are No. 7 Frank Wycheck (1990-92 with 134) and No. 6 Darrius Heyward-Bey with 138 from 2006-08 .
- He stayed at ninth in career receiving yards with 25 yards in the game, as he now has 1,774. Next on the list at No. 8 is Azizuddin Abdur-Ra'oof with 1,895 from 1984-87.
