
Njoku Awarded Solomon Eye Physicians and Surgeons Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Each week during the 2023-2024 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's winner is Chioma Njoku from women's track and field.
Njoku, an transfer from Delaware, impressed in her first meet as a Terp, winning the women's weight throw at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis. Her toss of 19.25m on her third throw was over 1.50m further than any other competitor. This mark also puts Njoku in the top ten in Maryland history in the event, slotting her at sixth all-time.
Njoku and the Terps will return to action in just over a month's time when they head to the Nittany Lion Challenge on January 13th.
