COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland softball team will open up its Big Ten home slate this weekend, hosting Michigan State. The weekend series has been adjusted due to inclement weather and will now begin with a double header on Friday beginning at 3:30. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. For Friday's games, fans can park in Lot 4B for free beginning at 2 pm. The Terps and the Spartans will play the series finale on Sunday at noon. All three games will be streamed in B1G+.

scouting the foes
- Michigan State enters the weekend with a 10-14 overall record on the 2023 season. The Spartans went 1-2 in its conference opening series against Wisconsin.
- The Spartans have won three of their last five games, picking up victories over Yale, San Diego, and Michigan State.
- The Terps have a 12-15 record against the Spartans. The Terps and Spartans met last in the 2022 season in which Maryland took the series 2-1.
