Maryland Secures Historic Series Sweep In 8-0 Win Over Michigan State

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland (26-8, 3-3 B1G) finished off a home sweep of Michigan State (10-7, 1-5 B1G) in an 8-0 shutout win on Sunday. It's the first time in program history that Maryland recorded three shutouts in a Big Ten Series sweep and its the Terps' first conference series sweep since their sweep of Iowa from April 1-3, 2022.

Her 12-strikeout performace was her fifth double-digit strikeout game of the season and ninth of her career.

Maryland's offensive production continued in the third as Jaeda McFarland benefitted from two throwing errors off a single, recording a 'little league' home run as she scored on the play. Schlotterbeck had her second RBI hit of the day later in the inning, an RBI triple for a 6-0 lead. An RBI groundout from Kline and RBI double from Sammi Lewis secured the series sweep in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively.
