CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA./BALTIMORE, MD. - The Terps track and field team wrapped up another impressive weekend of competition this weekend, with the squad competing in both the UVA Challenge and the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational.
Six Terps wrote their names into the Maryland record books throughout the weekend.
Jeff Kline broke his number two all-time record, throwing 19.11m in Charlottesville.
Kayla Woods jumped into the history books as well, with a long jump measuring 6.23m, which tied 4th all-time.
Ako Hislop ran a 10.46 100m in the UVA Challenge finals, which put him 7th all-time.
Kami Joi Hickson ran a 2:09.85 800m, placing her 8th all-time.
Brandon James ran a 21.25 in the 200m, putting him at 10th all-time.
Katerina Talanova raced the steeplechase at Hopkins and earned the 10th all-time spot.
Other Highlights:
- Rhys Allen set yet another PB in the discus, throwing 50.14m, winning his flight and finishing 8th overall
- Anna Coffin set a new personal best in the 800m at 2:11.42. She also ran quick in the 1500m, posting a time of 4:23.74.
- Brandon James also made the 100m finals with a personal best of 10.49, and set a new season best in the 200m as well, with a time of 21.25
- Kevin Collins also set a new PB in the 200m, running 21.41
- Kayla Thorpe continued to perform well in the Javelin with a fourth place finish at 46.00m
- Jayla Bynum finished 7th in the shot put competition with a throw of 14.71m
- Solomon Lawrence and Eric Albright both finished top 10 in the 800m
- Madison Depry ran a season's best in the 100m, finishing in a time of 12.09
- Tolu Akinduro set a season best in the triple jump jumping 11.93m
- Tyler Baruch had a strong showing in the long jump, with a mark of 6.99m
- Sophia Zell notched the victory in the 1500m at the Hopkins invite running 4:39.97.
