Maryland Drops Game Three Versus Nebraska, 4-0

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Terps fell to Nebraska, 4-0, in the final game of their weekend series. With the result, the Terps moved to 27-12 (4-7 BIG) while Nebraska left College Park at 27-13 (7-4 BIG).

Courtney Wyche tossed 3.1 innings in the circle before being swapped for Keira Bucher in the fourth. Wyche came back in during the fifth inning. The senior pitcher finished with 5.2 innings in the circle and recorded four strikeouts. Bucher relieved Wyche for the final two outs in the top of the seventh.

A costly fourth inning for Maryland gave the tricky Nebraska three out of the four runs scored in the game. Outside of the fourth inning, Maryland only surrendered five Nebraska hits.

Sammi Woods smashed a two-out double in the fifth, but the Terps weren't able to convert for a score. Kiley Goff and Taylor Liguori both had hits in the game, in addition to two walks each by Goff and Amelia Lech
