COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Junior Shyanne Sellers of the Maryland women's basketball team will compete in the 2023 FIBA 3x3 U21 Nations League later this month as part of USA Basketball's women's national team.

Sellers and Team USA will compete June 23-29 in Handan, China. Sellers was selected by the USA Basketball 3X3 National Team committee after the USA 3X Nationals in May.

​​The 2023 USA 3x3 Women's Nations League Team features NCAA Division I athletes, including Mara Braun (Minnesota), Christina Dalce (Villanova), Jillian Hollingstead (Tennessee), Morgan Maly (Creighton) and Lucy Olsen (Villanova).

The 2023 USA U21 Nations League mens and womens teams will compete in the FIBA 3x3 U21 Nations League Asia-Pacific Conference from June 23-29 in Handan, China. The competition will feature six three-game tournaments in seven days in which the six team members can substitute as needed for each day's four-person entry. The winning team in each of 13 conference events hosted worldwide will qualify for the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League Final Sept. 13-15 in Mongolia.

Different than 5-on-5, 3x3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock. Play is continuous, as teams "clear" the ball behind the 2-point line following a made basket, defensive rebound or steal. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious; or if time expires then the team leading wins.

The 2023 USA 3x3 U21 Nations Leagues mens and womens teams will train in Miami Lakes, Fla., June 17-19 before traveling to China.
