Tennis Announces Fall 2023 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, MDThe Maryland women's tennis team released its 2023 fall competition schedule Monday. Members of the Terrapins will compete in eight events for the fall season.

"We're excited to have the team back in College Park and welcome our 5 new players to campus," said head coach Katie Dougherty. "The team has done a nice job preparing and competing this summer and they're ready for a challenging fall slate.  The fall season is our opportunity to make gains in fitness, on the practice court and to get match experience and ranked opponent opportunities.  Ruth and I are fired up to get on court with this crew and get to work."

Maryland will open their season Sept. 15-17 at the Wahoowa Invitational in Charlottesville, VA.

The next week, the Terrapins will compete in the ITA's Milwaukee Tennis Classic Sept. 22-24 in Milwaukee, WI.

Maryland will host the Bedford Cup Sept. 22-24 in College Park, MD.

The ITA Women's All-American Championships will be held in Cary, NC from Sept. 30- Oct. 8.

The Terrapins will head to Morgantown, WV, to compete in the Martha Thorn Invitational Oct. 6-8.

Maryland will then compete at the ITA Regionals Oct. 19-23 in Lynchburg, VA. 

The following week the Terrapins will be in Atlanta, GA Oct. 30- Nov. 5 for the W25 Atlanta ITF competition. 

Maryland will close out their fall schedule at the ITA Fall National Championships Nov. 1-5.
