College Park, MD- The University of Maryland women's tennis team will be competing in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and Bedford Cup. They both will be held from Sept. 22-24.
 
"We're looking forward to more great competition this weekend in Milwaukee and College Park," Head Coach Katie Dougherty said. "Selma and Mary have proven they're a great doubles pair and will have even more opportunities this weekend to play top teams in both singles and doubles."
 
"Aida and Katherine were both impressive last week in Charlottesville and looking to build off those performances."
 
Selma Cadar and Mary Brumfield will open their fall seasons ranked #38 for doubles in ITA's preseason rankings. They will be competing in singles and doubles in the Milwaukee Classic at the Western Racquet Club in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.
 
Winners of the Milwaukee Classic will receive an automatic bid to the ITA Fall National Championships in November.
 
Aida Eissa and Katherine Hung will be competing in the Bedford Cup at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC).
 
Both Eissa and Hung will be competing in their second competition for the Terrapins after making their debut at the Wahoowa Invitational.
 
The Bedford Cup is being hosted by the JTCC in College Park, the tournament is supported through donations from the Edward T. Bedford Foundation.
 
Matches for both competitions will be held throughout the day, scoring updates will be posted on the Maryland Tennis X account.
