COLLEGE PARK, MD - Anna Coffin of Maryland cross country has been awarded the Solomon Eye Physicians ans Surgeons Terp of the Week. Coffin finished second overall at the Baltimore Metro Meet and lead the Terps to victory in their first meet of the season. 

As the lone graduate student on the cross country team, Coffin finished the women's 5K in 18:03.75, which was an improvement of 25 seconds on her time from the same event last year. Coffin was also one of three Maryland runners to finish in the top five in the race. The Terps beat second place Johns Hopkins by 9 points, and 76  points ahead of third place Loyola (MD.).

Coffin has run many events in her time competeing for the cross country and track and field teams, including 800m, 1500m, mile, and 300m during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons, and 5K and 6K events during cross country seasons.

Coffin and the Terps will return to competition this Saturday as they head to Annapolis to compete in the Navy Invitational.
