COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2024-25 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's Terp of the Week is redshirt junior Saylor Poffenbarger of the women's basketball team.

Saylor Poffenbarger led Maryland to its 12th straight win and second over a top 20 team with a 72-66 victory over No. 19 Michigan State Sunday. Poffenbarger picked up her fourth double-double on the year and sixth game scoring in double figures with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and an assist. She went 3-6 from outside the arc and 3-4 at the free throw line.

The Spartans came back to tie the game with 6:06 to play. She responded by sinking a three pointer to put the Terps back on top for good. She scored 5 of her points, notched her two blocks and grabbed a key defensive rebound to seal the win.

Maryland is 12-0 for the first time since 2018-19. The Terrapins are one of eight teams remaining in the country to have not lost this season.
