
Maryland Men’s Soccer Spring Schedule Announced

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski announced the program's 2024 spring schedule, which includes six matches, Tuesday afternoon.
"I'm excited to get our team back on the field this spring," Cirovski said. "We've put together a schedule filled with high quality opponents and these matches will help our development as we push towards the fall season."
Three of Maryland's matches (vs. NC State, vs. Virginia Tech, at Georgetown) will be played as Spring Soccer Cup league play. Results in those matches will determine Maryland's opponent in the Spring Soccer Cup Finals on April 14 at Wake Forest. More information on that event can be found below.
The Terps open the spring at Ludwig Field on March 2 against William & Mary, with kickoff scheduled at 4:00 p.m. On March 9, Maryland will face off with NC State with the match taking place at Shaw Field on Georgetown's campus.
The Terps will return to action against Virginia Tech on March 30 (1:00 p.m.) at Ludwig Field. On April 6, the Terps will take a short trip to Washington D.C., to take on Georgetown at 1:00 p.m.
Maryland will head to the Spring Soccer Cup Finals on April 14 before finishing up the spring schedule at James Madison on April 20 (3:00 p.m.).
All Maryland's home spring games will be free admission for fans.

Spring Soccer Cup Information:
Ten of men's college soccer's premier programs will meet at Spry Stadium on Sunday, April 14 as Wake Forest University will host the 2024 Spring Soccer Cup.
Along with Maryland, Clemson, Georgetown, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Pitt will participate in the Spring Soccer Cup.
Format
Each program will participate in three matches in league play prior to arriving in Winston-Salem for the final event.
At the end of the three league matches, the finals matches at Spry Stadium will be determined with the 10 programs being seeded. Shuffling amongst the seeds can be done if a repeat opponent is scheduled.
On Sunday, April 14, the tentative schedule is as follow:
Match 1: Spry Soccer Stadium (12 p.m.)
Match 2: Spry Training Field 2 (12 p.m.)
Match 3: Spry Training Field 1 (2:15 p.m.)
Match 4: Spry Soccer Stadium (4:30 p.m.)
Match 5: Spry Training Field 2 (4:30 p.m.)
Three points will be awarded for a win in regulation. If matches remain tied after 90 minutes, the opponents will go directly into penalty kicks with the winning team earning two points and the losing side being awarded one point.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase here. All seating is general admission. Seating on the Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill is free. Children three and under do not need a ticket to enter if sitting on a lap; if their own seat is needed a ticket should be purchased.
