ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Maryland track and field team competed at the Navy Select meet on a day that was highlighted by junior
Eric Albright setting another school record, as well as 2 other all-time top tens and personal bests from other members of the team.Â

Just a week after setting the school record 800m in Boston, Albright ran the fastest 1000m in school history in Annapolis, crossing the finish line in 2:23.22. The time is also the 16th fastest 1000m in all of NCAA Division One indoor track and field this season.Â

Kami Joi Hickson and
Katie Turk also entered the record books, moving into eighth and ninth all-time in the women's 1000m, with times of 2:52.56 and 2:52.60.

Other Highlights
- Emma Pegg won the women's 800m with a new personal best time of 2:12.49
- Kevin Collins finished in second place in the men's 200m with a time of 21.91Â seconds
- Kirstin Nichols set a new personal best in the women's 3000m and finished in second place
- Reece Temoney ran a new personal best of 7.13 seconds in the men's 60m and finished in seventh place
- Sophia Zell and Katerina Talanova ran personal bests in the women's mile, and the two along with Amanda Eliker all earned top-ten finishes
- Peter Capozzoli ran a personal best in the men's 400mÂ
- Both Justin Depinto and Cliff Carty finished in the top ten of the men's mile, with Carty finishing in sixth and Depinto running a new personal best and finishing in seventhÂ
- Ni-Ann Cross tied for seventh place in the women's 60m
Next Up: Two Terps,
Jeff Kline and
Chioma Njoku, will compete in the USATF Indoor Championships tomorrow In Albuquerque, New Mexico, before the team heads to Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio next weekend.  Â
