BLACKSBURG, VA - The Maryland track and field team wrapped up the weekend at the Doc Hale VT Meet with strong performances and several athletes who earned personal best marks.

Jayla Bynum finished sixth place in a strong field of 27 competitors in the women's shot put and was the third-best collegiate thrower with a throw of 14.99m.

Rhys Allen set a new personal best in the men's shot put, tossing 16.91m, finishing in fifth place.

Other Highlights
- Max Worley won his section of the men's 800m with a personal best time of 1:54.41 and secured a top-ten overall finish, landing in seventh place.Â
- Katie Turk set a new personal best in the women's mile at 4:59.08, while Amanda Eliker set a new season's best in the event, clocking 5:04.43
- Kayla Thorpe threw a new season's best in the women's shot put with a mark of 13.66m
- Cliff Carty set a new personal best in the men's mile, finishing in 4:18.75Â
