GAINESVILLE, FL - The Maryland track and field team concluded the Florida Relays, with Eric Albright, Armanie Coleman, and Victoria Teasley delivering standout performances.
Albright ran the second fastest men's 800m time in school history, crossing the finish line in 1:49.08. This was a new personal best for the junior who already broke the indoor school record in the event.
The freshman duo of Coleman and Teasley competed in the women's 100m and etched their names in the Maryland record book. Coleman jumped up from ninth to a tie for fifth all-time with her rapid time of 11.64 seconds, while Teasley crossed the finish line in 11.82 seconds, good for the number nine spot in the record book.
Other Highlights
"Today was a strong showing for the full group taking advantage of the high level of competition this weekend. We had many athletes hitting personal best marks early this season."
Next Up: The Terps will stay local next weekend, competing at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason.
