COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Five University of Maryland football players have recently been added to NFL rosters after the 2024 NFL Draft concluded.

Gottlieb Ayedze (Philadelphia Eagles), wide receiver
Jeshaun Jones (Minnesota Vikings) and defensive back
Ja'Quan Sheppard (Las Vegas Raiders) are also competing for jobs in the NFL.

These five Terps will join NFL draftees
Delmar Glaze (third round, Las Vegas Raiders) and
Tarheeb Still (fifth round, Los Angeles Chargers) at various team held rookie minicamps, mandatory minicamps and OTA offseason workouts throughout the summer.

Brade was a linchpin for Maryland's defense over the last several seasons. The safety started 25 games for the Terps over the last two years, totaling 160 tackles (103 solo), leading the team in tackles during both his junior and senior seasons.Â

During his senior campaign in 2023, Brade posted 75 tackles (48 solo), six pass breakups, four tackles for loss and recorded an interception and forced fumble. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in both 2022 and 2023, and was voted by his teammates as one of the team captains at the end of the 2023 regular season.Â

Brade played a major role in Maryland's success during his final three seasons in College Park. He contributed in each of the Terrapins three bowl wins over the last three years and he helped Maryland's defense hold opponents to just 22.5 points per game this past season, the fewest points allowed by a Terps defense since 2010. Â

Brade was invited to the NFL Combine and the Reese's Senior Bowl after the season. A Clarksville, Maryland native, Brade earned his degree from Maryland in Business Management.Â

Bullock started 11 of 12 games at left guard for the Terps, blocking for the third ranked offense in the Big Ten, averaging 393.8 yards per game and a passing offense that leads the Big Ten, averaging 284.8 passing yards per game. Bullock was the third rated pass blocking guard in the Big Ten with a 79.6 grade and the fourth rated guard overall in the conference (over 600 snaps) with a 70.6 grade. He is on track to graduate from Maryland with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Ayedze proved a lot during his one season as a Terp, seeing action in 11 games at right tackle and starting Maryland's final 10 contests. A Germantown, Maryland native, Ayedze blocked for the fourth-ranked overall offense in the Big Ten (387.3 ypg) and the top-ranked passing offense (278.9 passing ypg).

Ayedze was the seventh-highest rated pass blocking tackle in the Big Ten (min 500 snaps) with a 74.3 grade via Pro Football Focus. He participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. Ayedze is on track to graduate from the University of Maryland with a degree in Sociology.

Jones is one of Maryland's most productive receivers in school history. He led the Terps in receiving in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, he was named Third Team All-Big Ten and team captain by his teammates at the end of the season. He started all 13 games and led Maryland in receptions (56), receiving yards (790) and receiving yards per game (60.8) working primarily out of the slot.

Jones ranked fifth in the Big Ten in receptions, receiving yards and receiving yards per game while hauling in four receiving touchdowns and averaging 14.1 yards per catch. He ended his career ranked fifth all-time at Maryland in career receiving touchdowns (14) and career receptions (149), as well as sixth in career receiving yards (2,043). Jones earned his degree from Maryland in Criminology & Criminal Justice.

Sheppard showed the ability to compete against the best in the AAC and Big Ten Conferences. He was named First Team All-AAC in 2022 at Cincinnati and followed that up with an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection at Maryland in 2023. He started all 13 games for the Terrapins and led the team and ranked tied for fourth in the Big Ten in pass break-ups (8). Sheppard is on track to graduate from Maryland with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Sheppard was the eighth-highest graded cornerback from the Big Ten in coverage (over 500 snaps) with an 80.5 grade according to Pro Football Focus. He participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl and Hula Bowl.
