COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Head coach
Brenda Frese of the Maryland women's basketball program announced a home-and-home series with Duke, beginning in the 2024-25 season. The Terrapins will host the Blue Devils at the XFINITY Center on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Game time and television information will be available later in the summer. Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are currently on sale HERE and start at $99.Â
Maryland will make a return trip to Durham in the 2026-27 season.Â
This will be the first matchup between Maryland and Duke since March 2015 when the Terrapins beat the Blue Devils, 65-55, in the Sweet Sixteen.Â
Maryland and Duke met in the 2006 NCAA Championship game when freshman Kristi Toliver hit a legendary three-pointer with six seconds left in regulation to force overtime. The Terrapins came back from a 13-point deficit to win the national championship, 78-75.
Maryland returns All-Big Ten honorees Shyanne Sellers and
Bri McDaniel, as well as
Emily Fisher,
Emma Chardon and
Allie Kubek for the 2024-25 season. The Terrapins also welcome three incoming freshmen in Ava McKennie (McSherrystown, Pa.), Breanna Williams (Billings, Mon.) and Kyndal Walker (Beltsville, Md.).

Head coach Brenda Frese and her staff signed seven transfers in Christina Dalce (Edison, N.J. / Villanova), Amari DeBerry ( Williamsville, N.Y. / UConn), Mir McLean (Baltimore, Md. / UConn/Virginia), Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu (London, England / Gulf Coast State), Saylor Poffenbarger (Middletown, Md. / Arkansas/UConn), Kaylene Smikle (Bay Shore, N.Y. / Rutgers) and Sarah Te-Biasu (Montreal, Canada / VCU).
The Blue Devils went 22-12 in the 2023-24 season and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen under fourth-year head coach Kara Lawson.
