Question: What made you start playing basketball?
Shyanne Sellers: I started playing basketball when I was three or four years old. My parents were the ones that really got me into it. I am the youngest of four so all my siblings played so I went to all their practices and stuff.
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?
SS: My parents.
Q: What has been the most memorable experience of your career so far?
SS: Going to the Elite Eight my sophomore year. That team was really fun.
Q: What are your pre-game rituals?
SS: I eat the same thing before every game and I have to take a nap. If it's breakfast, I will have an omelet and oatmeal. For dinner or lunch I will have pasta with sauce and fruit. When I put more shorts on I have to put my left leg in my shorts first and left sock and left shoes first.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
SS: Sometimes you got to just let stuff be. It is what it is sometimes.
Q: What is your intended major and dream job?
SS: My major is communications and my dream job is to be a professional basketball player.
Q: What makes you proud to be a Terp?
SS: The family atmosphere and all the people I have met.
Q: Favorite part of the Croatia trip?
SS: My favorite part was swimming in the water. The boat was also fun.
Q: If you didn't play basketball, what sport would you play?
SS: I would play soccer or volleyball. In soccer I would play forward and score goals.
Q: If you brought a friend to Maryland, where would you take them to eat?
SS: Iron Rooster. I get pancakes, bacon and eggs.
Q: If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would they be?
SS: Lebron, Kevin Hart, Kelsey Plum
Q: If your sport had a mascot based on you, what would it be?
SS: A dog because I'm that dog. I would be a mini golden doodle.
