
Terps Set for Big Ten Media Day Wednesday

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Head coach Brenda Frese, Preseason All-Big Ten honoree Shyanne Sellers and Co-Big East Defensive Player of the Year Christina Dalce will travel to Chicago to represent the Terrapins at the Big Ten Media Day event at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
Big Ten Media Day for women's basketball will take place on Wednesday, as coaches and student-athletes from both all 18 women's basketball teams will participate.
Two segments of the day will be televised live on the Big Ten Network and online here.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 2
11:20 a.m. ET – Brenda Frese Panel with Illinois head coach Shauna Green and Purdue head coach Katie Gearlds LIVE (Big Ten Network)
3:00 p.m. ET – Frese, Sellers, Dalce LIVE on studio set (Big Ten Network)
The Terrapins were picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten by the league's head coaches and media panel. Maryland returns All-Big Ten honorees Sellers and Bri McDaniel, as well as Emily Fisher, Emma Chardon and Allie Kubek for the 2024-25 season. The Terrapins also welcome three incoming freshmen in Ava McKennie, Breanna Williams and Kyndal Walker.
Head coach Brenda Frese and her staff signed seven transfers in Dalce, Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Sarah Te-Biasu, All-Big Ten honoree Kaylene Smikle, All-SEC Freshmen Team honoree Saylor Poffenbarger, Amari DeBerry, Mir McLean and Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu.
