VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- The Maryland women's golf team won the Evie Odom Invitational at the Princess Anne Country Club Saturday in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Terrapins tied with Penn State for first with a score of 854 (291-279-284) which was +14.Â
Senior
Surapa Janthamunee tied for second in the individual standings with a score of 209 (71-69-68), which was -1 overall. She racked up eight birdies in the event.
Sophomore
Chananyu Chowiwattana and senior
Daniela Burgos Ortega tied for 15th with a score of 215, which was +5. Chowiwattana went 76-70-69 and Burgos went 69-72-74).
Sophomore
Anna Pillard tied for 19th with a score of 216 (75-69-72), which was +6. In her first collegiate event, freshman
Celeste Mangeat, competing as an individual, tied for 26th with a score of 218 (76-73-69).Â
Freshman
Noa Terroba Toro tied for 40th with a score of 221 (76-71-74). Freshman
Emily McKee earned a score of 225 (75-70-80) as an individual.Â
Next, the Terps will close out the fall season at the Landfall Tradition event in Wilmington, N.C. Oct. 24-26.
