
Nelligan Adds Five Gymnasts to 2026 Recruiting Class

Kylee McQueen
Hometown: Thornton, Ontario
High School: Bear Creek Secondary School
Club Team: Alliston Gymnastics
Before Maryland: Kylee McQueen joins the Maryland gymnastics roster as a four-star recruit and one of Canada's top up-and-coming athletes. A five-time Team Ontario member, McQueen has been a consistent standout on both the provincial and national stage. She is a three-time Provincial AA Champion (2022, 2023, 2025) and earned second place in the all-around at the 2025 Nationals. McQueen also captured the all-around title at the 2025 Simone Biles Invitational.
Beyond the gym, McQueen is a three-time honor roll student and an active volunteer in her community. She has assisted with children's programs at local elementary schools, volunteered as a timer at provincial championships, and supported several charity golf tournaments.

Kylee McQueen: "As soon as I stepped on campus it felt like home and I knew that it was the place I wanted to be. The team and coaches were so welcoming and it's such a family oriented environment. The school is highly ranked in both gymnastics and academics and has amazing programs. All the facilities and programs help set you up for any future career. I'm excited to be apart of an amazing team while earning a great education."

Addie Megill
Hometown: West Chester, Pennsylvania
High School: Unionville High School
Club Team: AJS Pancott Gymnastics
Before Maryland: Addie Megill joins the Maryland gymnastics roster as a four-star recruit from Pennsylvania. She captured the 2025 Region 7 titles on balance beam, floor, and in the all-around, and is a three-time Development Nationals qualifier (2023, 2024, 2025). At the 2024 Development Nationals, she earned an eighth-place finish on balance beam, underscoring her consistency and poise in high-level competition.
Outside the gym, Addie is a National Honor Society member, serves on Student Council, and is active in her school community as both a Unionville Mini-Thon member and President of the ConnectThruCancer Club.

Regina Brunson
Hometown: Clayton, California
High School: Horizons Center of Independent Study
Club Team: Pacific West Gymnastics
Before Maryland: California native Regina Brunson brings her Level 10 experience to the Maryland gymnastics.
She is a three-time Level 10 Regional qualifier (2023, 2024, 2025) and competed in the all-around at the 2025 Development Nationals, where she placed seventh on balance beam. Regina was also a member of the National TOPS Team in 2018.
At her club, Regina earned Hardest Worker honors in 2022 and 2024 and was named Most Outstanding in 2025. Academically, she has appeared on the Principal's List every semester of high school, maintaining a GPA above 4.0. Outside of gymnastics, Regina volunteers at children's church events, beach cleanups, and gymnastics competitions.

Mariah Green
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
High School: New West Charter High School
Club Team: All Olympia Gymnastics Center
Before Maryland: Making the move from the West Coast to College Park, three-star recruit Mariah brings her elite gymnastics experience to the Terps. She is a two-time Nationals qualifier (2023, 2025) and captured the Vault title at the 2025 Nationals. Mariah also qualified for the 2023 Junior World Championships,
Outside the gym, Mariah is active in her school community as a member of the Psychology Club and volunteers at gymnastics meets, assisting with administration, timing, and other support roles.

Mariah Green: "Why not Maryland!? There are so many reasons and I could go on forever about how much I love Maryland. I felt so welcomed by the school and not only just by the coaches but as a community, I could just see it as my new home. There wasn't one thing about Maryland that I disliked, such a great school academically, as well as athletically. It has so much to offer and I'm very excited to say that I am a part of this team!"

Chandler Sims
Hometown: Morris, Alabama
High School: Mortimer Jordan High School
Club Team: Trussville Academy of Gymnastics
Before Maryland: Adding some Southern talent to College Park, Chandler joins the Maryland gymnastics roster.
She is a three-time Level 10 Regional qualifier (2023, 2024, 2025) and earned a spot as a National qualifier in 2023, showcasing her consistency and competitiveness on the national stage.
Outside the gym, Chandler is active in her school community as a member of the FCCLA Club and volunteers annually at various school and community events. She and her family have also been deeply involved in supporting the deaf and hard-of-hearing community; through hands-on therapy, financial support, and advocacy with the organization WISE, Chandler has contributed to her sister's hearing journey as a cochlear implant recipient.

The coaches truly care about developing confident, well-rounded athletes, not just great competitors, and that genuine commitment really spoke to me. I know the University of Maryland is the place where I can grow the most, both as an athlete and as a student."
