Addi Mack of the No. 9-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (5-0) was named Tamika Catchings National Freshman Player of the Week by the USBWA Tuesday. Mack was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Week Monday.
Mack continued the impressive start to her career as she averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 56.5% from the floor in two wins on the week. Against Towson Thursday, she led the Terps with 15 points, six assists, just two turnovers, three steals and three rebounds.
Against 2025 NCAA Tournament Team Princeton Sunday, Mack made her first career start and took on the role of starting point guard. She added 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Mack came out of the gate ready, scoring seven of her points in the first quarter as Maryland took a lead it would never relinquish.
Mack has scored in double figures in three straight games for the Terrapins. She is averaging 12.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists through the first five games of her career.
