COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2025-26 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's Terp of the Week is senior Yarden Garzon of women's basketball. 

Garzon led the way for Maryland to a dominant win over Central Connecticut State on Friday. Down two starters, she led the Terps with a season-high 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists and seven three-pointers made. She went 7-16 from outside the arc and 9-19 from the field. She hit the key three pointer to put the Terps at 67 points, which electrified the sold-out Field Trip Day crowd.
 
Garzon has scored in double figures in 9 of 13 games this season. She is averaging 12.6 points per game, 4.0 rebounds and is leading the Terps with 3.2 assists per game.
